大功率三相UPS電源由于功率比較大，在應用過程中，起著舉足輕重的作用，它的每一次故障都會引起我們的重視，同時因為三相UPS的供電設備涵蓋范圍廣泛，除了一般計算機工作站主機也包含網絡設備、制造設備的作業機臺、醫療設備、精密儀器等等，且三相UPS放置的位置大多散布于建物內各處與監控機房有一段距離，所以我們必須配置監控系統，對UPS電源進行更好的管理。
大功率三相UPS監控系統在設計上考慮的重點有別于一般小型單相UPS。因三相機的供電設備涵蓋范圍廣泛，除了一般計算機工作站主機也包含網絡設備、制造設備的作業機臺、醫療設備、精密儀器等等，且三相機放置的位置大多散布于建物內各處與監控機房有一段距離。經由實際設計案例，以下列出設計上考慮的重點。同時與多部UPS聯機由于三相機散布位置廣，為避免管理人員將時間浪費在往返多部UPS路途時間，系統須有集中監控的能力將所有的UPS信息集中于一套系統，共享一致的告警接口讓管理人員經由一套系統即可管理所有的UPS。當任何電力事件發生時系統經由網絡廣播、呼叫器、e-mail、語音告警等主動通知相關人員，不僅可免除經常性的檢查工作還能在電力事件發生后的第一時間獲得來自監控系統的通知訊息?？梢杂行Ы档凸芾砣藛T的工作量。
